Floridita
Caribbean nights in Vienna

Floridita in the centre of Vienna celebrates a Caribbean feeling 365 nights a year.
Hot rhythms, exotic drinks, erotic dances and Cuban cigars: This lively place, in which prominent musicians from Cuba and other Caribbean countries regularly perform, is named after the legendary Floridita bar in Havana, which opened in 1817 and was visited regularly by Ernest Hemingway, who liked to savour his frozen daiquiris there. Needless to say, this drink is also available in Vienna, along with 39 other daiquiri specialities. In fact when it comes to drinks guests are really spoiled for choice: there are 300 exotic concoctions on the menu, from batidas, shooters and highballs to mochito and caipirinha. The latter two are without a doubt the favourites, followed by Cuba libre.

Floridita Pool Party
On 15 July Floridita will be organising a special event at Schönbrunner Bad for the second time: the Floridita Pool Party. It offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy a Caribbean holiday atmosphere for 12 hours in the former grounds of the imperial summer residence. From the opening of the swimming pool until late in the evening you can dance to Latin music, from salsa and meringue to Latin pop or simply relax in the idyllic setting. Apart from the pool party you can also try out Zumba, a dance fitness programme to Latin music, and take part in a beach volleyball tournament. Those who miss the party at Schönbrunner Bad, which last year attracted 4,000 guests, can visit the city centre club and enjoy the Caribbean feeling any night of the week.Info:
