Chirping crickets, singing nightingales: Mother Nature isn’t the only one to boast a perfect acoustic backdrop to the summer. Vienna’s nightlife offers plenty of options to dance the night away to fine tracks under the open sky in the hot season. Volksgarten club has a sliding ceiling that provides a view of the star-spangled summer sky. Garden swings, deck chairs, fish grilled on sticks and a Mosquito Bar: the adjoining Volksgarten Pavillon has a relaxed holiday atmosphere particularly on the Tuesday Techno Café nights.

Cool in the pool

Pratersauna has not only a garden to enjoy balmy summer club nights but also offers an outdoor pool where guests can cool down after dancing away to electronic beats. A walk home through the still sleeping Prater amusement park at sunrise and a hearty sausage at a traditional Würstelstand (sausage stand) are perfect to round off a great night. And when the Enzis at MuseumsQuartier are turned into little (sitting) dance floors it can only mean one thing: Weekend Sounds is back – and DJs will be playing soul, funk, hip-hop and electronic tracks in the main courtyard. And to top it all: admission is free!

Springsteen live

Bruce Springsteen has been a leading figure in the music world for decades. On 12 July ‘The Boss’ will come to Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadium with his E-Street Band. Fans can look forward to rock anthems, often combined with critical lyrics – music with a heart and a brain.
