Moscow dances in Vienna - Vienna dances in Sofia

Having premiered in 2007, the Moscow Ball is already considered a highlight of the Vienna ball season and attracted many leading figures from the worlds of politics, business and culture to Vienna's City Hall on 24 January. The ball was opened by Vienna's Mayor Michael Häupl and Moscow's Mayor Yuri Lushkov.

In addition to its social aspects the Moscow Ball also provided great networking opportunities for leading companies from both countries. Some interesting business events were also held around the ball: high-calibre women managers met at the business.women.forum, while the after.ball-get.together offered investors comprehensive information as well as the chance to establish new contacts in the fields of real estate, finance and investment, and import and export.

Eighth Vienna Ball in Sofia
This year's Vienna Ball in Sofia will be held at the Sheraton Hotel on 16 February under the patronage of the Austrian Ambassador Klaus Fabjan and the Bulgarian Finance Minister Plamen Oresharski. The ball is a charitable event and the organisers, the Vienna Club of Sofia, will donate the proceeds to Sofia's colleges of music, art, theatre and film and to a UNICEF project. The ladies' gifts are contributed by the City of Vienna and the first prize comes from the Vienna Tourist Board: a trip to Vienna for two.
