With immediate effect visitors to Bratislava can purchase the attractive Bratislava City Card (BCC) which is valid for free travel on public transport and for many reduced-price visits to museums and exhibitions. The card, which is now on offer in one-, two- and three-day versions, is a well-conceived system and is also valid for various leisure events. Within the framework of the EU TURISTINFO programme Bratislava Tourist Centre personnel were given instruction in handling the BCC, before the beginning of the season, by specialists with international experience. This was agreed with the Vienna Tourist Board in the course of the EU INTERREG IIIA initiative for cross-border projects as know-how transfer in the realm of tourist information centres. The instruction was given on the spot in city centre tourist information centres, at the airport and at the passenger ship-port in the fields of customer service and conflict management.

- travel on municipal public transport (free)
- entry to numerous museums and galleries (20% reduction)
- municipal leisure facilities, such as the indoor swimming pool, open-air pools, ice-skating rinks, zoo (10-20% reduction)
- “Aulandia Wellness Park” in the Aupark shopping centre (15% reduction)
- Mikloshko fashion house (15% reduction)
- city tours and excursions to neighbouring regions (about 10% reduction)
- the BCC offer also takes in several eating spots including a vegetarian restaurant.
